دورة متخصصة تناقش صعوبات التغذية لدى الأطفال ذوي الاضطرابات النمائية العصبية من منظور سريري قائم على الأدلة. تركّز على التقييم الشامل ووضع خطط تدخل علاجية عملية لتحسين مهارات الأكل والتغذية وجودة حياة الطفل وأسرته.
Course objectives:
• Describe the basic anatomy and physiology of the feeding and swallowing systems in pediatric populations
• Explain typical feeding and swallowing development and the impact of neurodevelopmental disorders on these processes
• Identify common feeding and swallowing difficulties and clinical red flags in children with neurodevelopmental disorders
• Describe the purpose and clinical indications of instrumental swallowing assessments and the occupational therapist's role within the interdisciplinary team
• Conduct functional feeding assessments using observation, caregiver report, and appropriate assessment tools
• Develop occupation-centered, evidence-based feeding intervention plans addressing oral motor, sensory, behavioral, and environmental factors.
